CH 11 section 1:
1. The Alps mountain range is affected by glaciation; Mt. Etna is affected by volcanic activity; and the Italian Peninsula is affected by wind.
2. Rivers are vital to Europe's economy becuase they provide irrigation, electricity, and transportation of people and goods.

CH 11 section 2:
1. Major influences on Europe's climate are it's northern latittude and its proximity to the sea.
2. Winds affect the climates of Europe by carrying air to the different climate zones.
Creative Writing: The average high winter temperatures can be so different becuase one city is closer to the sea, so it gets cooler air.
