Chapter 24 homework

CH 24 section 1:
     1. India's large population is distributed unevenly, with the majority of the population living on the Gangetic Plain.
     2) 1. Hinduism
         2. Buddhism

creative writing- I have just moved to the great city of Delhi. Everything here moves at a lightning speed and nothing waits for me, this is nothing like it was back on my farm. I just got a job working at a computer company, it is not to my liking, but I get paid well. Here in the city everyone is always on the move and nobody has time to sit down for five minutes and relax. On top of that the air is thick with disgusting smog. I don't know how long I will make it here...

CH 24 section 2:
     1. Increasing populations and urbanization in Pakistan and Bangladesh are problems because they do not have enough water and food to sustain such a high popuation in their cities.
     2. Pakistan and Bangladesh have contributed music and literature (Qawwali) to the arts.

creative writing- The land of Kashimir in Pakistan/India was once ruled by Indian princes (maharaja) but then Pakistan claimed the land to be theirs. The maharajas fled to India and signed off their land to India, hence both India and Pakistan had claims to Kashimir. This conflict has sparked many wars and conflicts between the two countries. This is a major problem for the world as a whole because both countries have built nuclear weapons. If problems escalate then a nuclear war could break out, having global efects.
CH 24 section 3:
     1. The countries in the region have contributed heavily in architecture to the arts.
     2. The major religions are Hinduism and Buddhism.

creative writing- The countries in this region are facing many problems, but the most prevalent at this time is lack of proper healthcare. The United States should invest in foreign aid to provide these countries with health care. Health care is the most important because without populations become sick and injured causing the entire country to fall apart. It would also lengthen the average lifespan of the citizens of those countries in need.
